Cleaning Fluoropolymer Heaters

Scaling or chemical particle build-up can occur on Fluoropolymer heaters in spite of Fluoropolymer's slippery surface. This coating acts as an additional insulation to trap heat and cause heater burn out.

Never try to scrape or hammer off sedimentation on your Fluoropolymer heater.

• Clean buildup off by spraying or squirting the material with a pressurized hose.
• Clean buildup off with a chemical dip such as acetic acid or muriatic acid, where applicable.
• Develop a regular schedule for cleaning your heater.
